The State of Florida – pursuant to §766.105 FS – has approved a large refund. The refund comes from the Florida Patient's Compensation Fund; and it is in the amount of $3,913,234. The amount represents the cash surplus that build up in the late-1970s and early-1980s. It will be distributed to eligible members.
