The State of Florida has just re-announced that it acquired receivership over The Florida Workers Compensation Fund. The State obtained this status due to court order; and – apparently – on account of the insurer's insolvency. Claimants (eg, policyholderscreditors etc.) have until November 15, 1999 to submit claims/inquiries.
The State of Florida – in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act (APA) – will hold a public meeting to discuss firefighting. The meeting will be conducted by the Division of State Fire Marshal (a part of Florida's Department of Insurance).
