The State of Florida – in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act (APA) – is on the verge of changing two of its regulations (4 FAC 137.010; etc.). The state is changing the first rule due to public comment. The first rule deals with Holocaust Victims Insurance (standards of proof). There's no indication as to why the state is changing the second rule (which deals with Minimum Reserve standards).

The State of Florida – pursuant to the Insurance Code – has suspended Biscayne Insurance Company. As such, the insurer is barred from doing any new business in the state. It can, however, maintain its existing policies (eg, pay claims; etc.). There's no [facially] obvious reason as to why the State suspended the insurer.
